A building collapse, believed to be a church, has been reported at Accra Newtown near GCB Bank.
The scene has been cordoned off by the Police to prevent public intrusion.
Emergency responders, including the GNFS, Police, Ambulance Service, and NADMO, are on scene working in coordination to rescue all trapped victims.
According to the Fire Service preliminary briefing, a total of seven (7) persons have been rescued from a collapsed four-storey building at the Experimental D/A School, near GCB Bank in Accra Newtown, and rushed to the hospital for treatment, out of a possible 40 persons believed to be trapped.
Earth-moving equipment has been requested to the scene to support ongoing rescue efforts.
