Chief Executive Officer of 3 music awards, Sadiq Abdulai Abu has claimed that during the time he entered the Ghanaian entertainment industry, self-acclaimed African Dancehall King, Shatta Wale was an underground artiste.
Sharing his opinion on Twitter, Sadiq said, the ‘My level’ hitmaker is making a lot of noise with regards to who is making proper music video and all that, which is not really necessary considering the fact that we all have to do something to push the industry forward.
A netizen quoted the tweet and also stated that, Sadiq is an amateur in the entertainment industry who wants his award scheme to flourish, therefore, he should not meddle in Shatta’s business else it will end up in the bin.
The CEO who couldn’t resist the urge to reply back retorted that, as at the time he entered the entertainment industry in 2004, Shatta was an underground artiste, and even after he re-branded from Bandana to Shatta Wale, he (Sadiq) was part of the management team for Kaakie who won Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the Year which Shatta lost to.
