Reports coming in from Taifa, a suburb in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region early Tuesday morning, suggest that some military officers have invaded the town, subjecting some civilians to severe beatings.,
This comes after an officer was allegedly murdered by some unknown assailants last Saturday.
The deceased, identified to be Imoro Sheriff was reportedly returning from his girlfriend’s house in Taifa and heading towards his residence at Zongo-Laka in Ashaiman when the unfortunate incident occurred.
According to report, the 22-year-old soldier with the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) band in Sunyani in the Bono Region was stabbed severally by unknown attackers Saturday dawn.
Though he was carrying a laptop and other electronic gadgets but the attackers made away with only his iphone.
Meanwhile, some videos that are widely shared on social media show how some military men are brutalizing some of the locals.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances under which the soldier was killed and appealing for information from the public.

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is yet to make a statement on the alleged brutalities.
