Earlier this week it was reported that the Health Ministry of Ghana requested a refund of the balance of the 300,000 Sputnik V Vaccines purchased from Dubai Sheikh, Ahmed Dalmook AL Maktoum to combat the coronavirus disease in Ghana.
The demand was made by the Minister in-charge, Hon. Agyeman Manu after the deal went wrong.
The office of Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook AL Maktoum has issued a statement indicating the refund of the balance of $2,470,000 to the ministry of health of Ghana.
In the statement, they wrote that, the said amount has been credited into the account of the state, therefore, the state should do well to issue a receipt of the payment once it reflects.
This purchase-saga has caused a stir on the internet since news about it broke out online. Many people requested the resignation of the Minister in-charge for causing a financial crisis to the statement.
