Former captain of the Black Stars Stephen Appiah has said that he believes that when it comes to football administration, it should be done by people who have played football before.

In an interview with Sompa Sports, he said he has observed that football is run by people with football knowledge and not just people who speak grammar.

“At times we don’t get the chance, I mean the legends or former footballers don’t get the chance. I have learnt or seen that football is run by footballers. It’s not about grammar,” he said.

He continued by expressing his hope that one of the former players will eventually be in charge of football administration.

“I hope that one day, one of us can lead so that we can support. If it is me, my colleagues will support me, and when it is others, too, we all support the person.”
