Alhaji Mohammed Ahmed Unus, popularly known as Alhaji Takoradi, the Deputy Ahafo Regional Chief Imam, has made an impassioned plea to Ghanaian youth to abstain from attacks, destruction, and the seizure of government properties.

His call follows reports of unrest and vandalism in parts of the country after Ghana’s peaceful election.

Speaking on the matter, Alhaji Takoradi emphasized that government properties belong to the nation, not any political party, including the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or others.

He cautioned that the damage caused will place an unnecessary financial burden on the government to repair or replace these assets.

“We must pray for a peaceful transition to allow the incoming government to create employment opportunities for the youth,” he urged.

Alhaji Takoradi further called on citizens to offer their prayers and support to the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

He stressed that fulfilling the party’s campaign promises, including job creation and the elimination of certain taxes deemed as “nuisance taxes,” requires collective effort and stability.

The Deputy Chief Imam’s message aligns with calls for unity and national progress, urging Ghanaians to channel their energies into productive endeavours rather than acts that undermine development.
