The Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. George Yaw Boakye has described LGBTQI+ as madness and filthy which the people of Ahafo must stop glorifying it or be a topic of discussion in the media space in the region
Speaking to the media in Goaso, Mr. Boakye said LGBTQI+ is not part of Ghana’s culture and it is evil even to discuss it in the media circles not alone to link it to right.
“It’s not part of our culture as Ahafo people of Ghana, I’m a Christian, I don’t glorify negativities. I am even discussing with my people that something LGBTQI+ shouldn’t be discussed in the airwaves,” he stated.
Mr. Boakye, therefore, appeals to Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs, religious bodies in the region to join forces to ensure that LGBTQI+ people will not get access to the region.
“The Ahafo Region strongly supports the promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values and does not support any activity of the LGBTQI+,” Mr. Boakye added
