Alliance For Footsoldiers Advocacy (AFFA), a voluntary group of the ruling New Patriotic Party across 275 constituencies in the country has reacted to Chief of Staff, Madam Akosua Frema Osei Opare’s GH¢50,000 funeral donation to Afia Schwarzenegger.
The agitated group in a press statement said Government should empower footsoldiers of the party than support opportunistic celebrities and media personalities.
“Alliance For Footsoldiers (AFFA) is gravely scandalized over revelations by controversial media personality, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa alias Afia Schwarzenegger to the effect that, Madam Akosua Frema osei Opare paid flight expenses for her late father’s casket, and topped up with GH¢50,000 as funeral donation.” the statement noted
The group stated that it is sympathetic to the plight of bereaved individuals, noting that they see no logic behind the particular action that happened, considering the opportunistic character involved, and the times they find themselves.
AFFA claimed that Afia Schwarzenegger has contributed nothing to the NPP’s victory in the 2016 general elections.
According to AFFA the controversial media personality rather used her platforms to make mockery of the then opposition leader, candidate Nana Addo Dunkwa Akufo-Addo prior to the 2016 elections.
“It is therefore shocking why few years down the line, with the NPP in power, the chief of staff as well as senior government officials will suddenly forget the pain she caused the party, and reward her so well making some party members toil be in vain.
“AFFA respectfully submits that the era of rewarding opportunistic media personalities masquerading as political influencers at the expense of hardworking party foot soldiers must stop! ‘Monkeys’ cannot work in the trenches for ‘baboons’ to come and chop.” The group added
