Nurses and midwives across the country have been advised to desist from behaviours that will breach the Code of Conduct and Ethics of the profession.
This comes after recent rampant display on social media platforms seeing some nurses or midwives in uniform twerking to the extreme of exposing some parts of their body to the public.
Some also are seen advertising medical products on social media while in their uniforms.
Mrs Sophia Blankson who is the director of Nursing and Midwifery Services at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital has warned nurses and midwives to desist from such unhealthy behaviours.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Wassaman FM, Mrs Sophia Blankson said, such practices are against the code of conduct of the nursing and midwifery profession and so the nursing and midwifery council takes it unkindly with those who are found guilty of such misconduct.
She reiterated that the nursing and midwifery profession is a noble profession by all standards so its practitioners must maintain such dignity.
