The Chief Executive Officer of Divine Herbal Clinic and Founder of Mount Zion Prayer Ministry International at Lapaz, Dr Ernest Obeng has called on the government of Ghana and the Ministry of Health to equip local scientists to come out with solutions to fight Covid-19 than relying on foreign vaccines.

According to him if One million Ghana cedis can be used to support the local scientists, they would developed immune booster supplements drugs that would naturally fight the Covid-19 virus.

Dr. Obeng said virus can not be cured by any antibiotics such as the Covid-19 vaccines.

“What we need to do as a country is develop natural food supplements which are around us to boost the immune system to fight the virus.”

“In fact no vaccine or chemical can fight any virus that is why people who have taken the two doses of the vaccine are still getting Covid,” he stated.

He said virus are respiratory diseases and cannot be fought by vaccine so what one needs to do is to eat food supplements such as moringa plants, fruits and engage in daily exercise to build the immune system.

“I can’t understand why some doctors would recommend sick people to eat local food such as kontomire, plantain, garden eggs, waakye in leaves and the likes but same people doubt the potency of herbal medicine, he stated.

“We have to believe in ourselves, accept what we have and use what we have to protect ourselves and not to solely rely on chemicals and vaccines developed from the same plants which we have here in Ghana.”

He reiterated that he is not against the use of vaccine but wants the country to develop another option should the importation of vaccines fail.

“I’m not against the vaccine but we need to supplement the vaccine with our own because if the vaccine manufacturers wake up one day and decides not to supply the product again, what are we doing as a nation,” he quizzed.

“From the way the virus is mutating, it will come to a point every Ghanaian will get it but only those with strong immune system would be able to survive the attack and so let’s support our scientists to build immune boosters so that when we get there we can fight it.”

He said record and data at Divine Herbal Clinic shows that one hundred percent of people who visit the clinic with Covid-19 are treated.

“I can tell you that since March last year we have received Covid-19 cases from renewed hospitals in the country and have offered 100% solutions to the problem and when some travelled outside the country their second test proved that,” he added

He called on the authorities not to only focus on the vaccine but rather have another option to developed and controlled by Ghanaians to fight the disease in case of emergency.
