Suspect arrested for stabbing firefighter at Adjiringanor

A 21-year-old man, Azumah Sampson, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a firefighter during a blaze that destroyed a storey building at Adjiringanor in Accra last Friday.

According to reports, Sampson is said to have stabbed the firefighter in the left arm, after attempting to force his way into the burning building to loot while the emergency crew battled the late-night blaze.

The suspect is in police custody assisting in investigations.
