The Ghana Police Service has arrested Fatawu Ibrahim, also known as Fatau Motorway, in connection with violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that took place at Mamobi, Accra, on October 13, 2024.

Ibrahim, who was declared wanted following the disturbances, was identified in video footage brandishing a firearm during the altercations, which resulted in two individuals being shot and injured.

According to the Police, he is currently in police custody and is expected to appear before the court in the coming days as investigations continue into the incident.
