A self-acclaimed spiritualist and a suspected armed robber, Victor Biney, is in the grips of the Juaboso District Police Command after allegedly leading a violent attack on miners at Sehwi Antobia in the Western North Region.
Police report that the suspect, together with a group of accomplices, stormed a mining site in an attempted robbery.
A search conducted on him led to the retrieval of talismans, a firearm, AAA cartridges, knives, torchlights, and other items suspected to be used in his illegal operations.
It is reported that Biney is linked to multiple robbery incidents within the Juaboso enclave.
He also has an ongoing case at the Bibiani Circuit Court, with judgment expected on December 9, 2025.
Sources allege that he has been recruiting young men and empowering them with supposed “black powers” believed to offer protection against guns and cutlasses.
He has since been arraigned before the Juaboso Magistrate Court and remanded into police custody for two weeks as investigations continue.
