A suspected armed robber has been shot dead by the Kaneshie Police at the Awudome Cemetery after he and his accomplice stabbed a pedestrian in the neck and robbed him of his bag, phone and money.
The robbers after the act run into the cemetery making efforts by the Police to arrest them futile.
However, one of them was shot in the process in their second attempt to rob another victim, while the other managed to escape.
According to the Greater Accra Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Afia Tengey, Police rushed the injured suspect to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
