The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has advised Ghanaians to take necessary precautions when travelling to China.
This comes on the back of the recent Covid-19 situation in China.
In a statement released on January 3, 2023, the ministry indicated that “As much as possible, only essential travel should be undertaken, until further notice,”.
The statement further reiterated that the government has decided that effective Friday 6th January 2023, all persons travelling from China to Ghana will now have to produce a 48-hour negative PCR test and undergo mandatory antigen testing at the point of entry free of charge until further notice.
The Ministry of Health recently reviewed COVID-19 protocols at the Kotoka International Airport ahead of the festive season as individuals and tourists trooped into the country to prevent any resurgence in COVID-19 cases.
With the virus originating from China, countries around the world have announced some new entry restrictions for travellers and investors from China.
