Residents of Tinkong in Akuapem North Municipality in the Eastern Region were thrown into a state of shock and agony when a man allegedly committed suicide with a piece of cloth.
In what is being reported as an alleged suicide case although there was no suicide note cited at the crime scene, the teacher was found dead in the early hours of Sunday, July 18, 2021.
However, Starr News has gathered that he was allegedly deceived to take a loan to invest in an online network marketing business called Qnet which turned out to be a scam.
He incessantly complained of hardship as a result of the huge deduction of his monthly salary.
Brother of the deceased teacher, Benjamin Boateng told Starr News “apart from the fact that he complained that he only takes home GH¢500 after deduction of his loan, he was hallucinating too so it seems there were evil forces haunting him”.
The body of the deceased identified as John Atta Asamoah Duodu (a twin) alias “O-Level” has been conveyed by the Adawso police to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
