Teacher trainees across the forty-six (46) Colleges of Education (CE) in the country are extremely angry with regards to their unpaid allowances.
They have threatened to embarked on a demonstration to register their displeasure over government’s delay in the payment of their two months allowances.
The aggrieved teacher trainees started the campaign on telegram and moved to twitter with the hash tag “Yɛɛ gye yɛn sika”, which literally means ‘Pay us our money’.
They are now on the media outlets sending signal to the Government through the Education Ministry to attend to their needs as urgent as possible.
The trainees indicated that they haven’t been able to access their allowances which they needed to take care of their educational needs as well as other important issues since most of them did not have enough money to pay for their school fees.
According to the trainees, they are yet to be to be paid their second semester allowances even though the semester just ended last week.
