Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi constituency has gifted a brand new car to the best teacher in his district, during the teachers appreciation day at a gathering in Kwahu Pepease.

Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi constituency has gifted a brand new car to the best teacher in his district, during the teachers appreciation day at a gathering in Kwahu Pepease.

The MP, through his initiatives to see the various developments and agencies under his constituency do well, has on a number of times conducted a series of benevolent drives.

At the gathering, the MP announced the best teacher, Mr. Sampong Eric Boadi, a head teacher at Ata ne Ata D/A basic school. He was first posted to Hweehwee Presby Primary in 2012. Due to his hard work, he was made the head teacher of Ata ne Ata basic school.

The head teacher was awarded a brand new car and five thousand cedis from the MP.

Mr. Sampong entreated his colleagues to emulate and do their utmost best for them to be also recognized.

Other awardees were first runner up, Madam Alice Boatemaa Acheampomaa, a teacher at Abene Methodist basic school who took home a double door fridge and Gh5,000 cedis. She was awarded for establishing an award scheme for brilliant – but – needy students in her school.

Mr. Eric Ofori Darko, the second best, a teacher at Bokuruwa D/A Junior high school took home a double door fridge and Gh3,000 cedis in addition.

He was awarded for his role that saw his school win the second position of the District quiz for JHS organized by Bryan Acheampong Foundation in 2018.

Mr. Evans Kwaku Abrokwa, head teacher of Oboyan D/A Basic school since 2015 also won the best Rural Male teacher, having been a National Service person in 2009 at Oframase D/A school and later got employed as a professional teacher in 2011 and reposted to Oboyan school.

He took home a motorbike. He was awarded for improving the performance of BECE from 0% to 100% and also risking his life and managed to teach during the Fulani menace.

Madam Comfort Baah Dwamena, a head teacher of Oframase R/C basic since 2011 won the Rural Female Best teacher.

She was awarded for her initiative and support of the directorate to establish a junior high school. She introduced School Feeding Program, an initiative solely funded by her. She took home a motorbike.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ansong Benjamin Ofori, a chief security officer at the Abetifi Technical Institute also won the non – teaching staff award.

He was recruited into the service as a general laborer since 2003.
