The Techiman South legislator, Mr. Martin Adjei- Mensah Korsah yesterday commissioned a project to connect Wa and Asubrofo communities to the national grid for electricity.
The project which was fully sponsored by the MP was in a fulfillment of a request made by the communities prior to the 2020 General elections to connect them to electricity.
Addressing the Chiefs and the people in the Communities, he underscored the importance of having access to electricity.
He said with regular supply of electricity to the Communities, the households will have immediate access to basic comfort of lights, fans, charging points etc.
He added that, he has paid for the full cost of all the meters in the Communities and urged them to wire their house to benefit from the facility.
He presented street bulbs to illuminate the towns and also enhance security in the area.
The residents expressed joy and thanked the MP for fulfilling his promise. They said, they never envisaged they would have electricity power anytime soon.
