The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Mr. Martin Adjei Korsah has said, he remains committed to the development of his people in his jurisdiction.
The MP, has rolled out a scheme to support 375 traders in the constituency.
The 2nd phase of the MP’s Initiative to pay for the full interest on loans secured from BACCSOD, Techiman, by beneficiaries under the scheme was rolled out yesterday.
Under this Initiative, the MP has an arrangement with BACCSOD to train selected traders in simple business modules after which he guarantees for a loan for them and pays for the full interest for the beneficiaries.
It is against this backdrop that yesterday, 375 traders who have undergone the training were called for their loans.
It must be mentioned that, over one thousand (1000) traders who are mainly tomatoes sellers, egg sellers, second hand clothing sellers and cooking utensils sellers have already benefited from the scheme in the 1st phase since its inception in last year , 2021.
Addressing the gathering, the MP, Mr.Martin Adjei- Mensah Korsah thanked the beneficiaries of the 1st phase for honoring their payments of the loan on time and admonished the new beneficiaries to emulate their example so that other people can also benefit.
The MP, had earlier yesterday, donated some selected educational materials to the Techiman South Municipal Education directorate.
