Tema Rotary Club presents 30-wheel chairs to cerebral palsy patients

The Tema Rotary Club has presented some 30-wheel chairs to aid the movement of some cerebral palsy patient within the municipality.

The Tema Rotary Club has presented some 30-wheel chairs to aid the movement of some cerebral palsy patient within the municipality.

Members of the Tema Physically challenged group were also fed and supported with diapers.

Presenting the items, the president of the Tema Rotary Club, madam Christiana Adams said the Rotary Club, Tema always finds an opportunity to support less privileged in society.

“We usually go to hospitals and orphanages but this year, we decided with support from Chair the Hope, an American-based humanitarian group to present these 30-wheel chairs to 30 cerebral palsy patients of members of the Tema Association of the physically challenged group”.

A beneficiary of the wheel chair, Mr. Joseph Dagbey who couldn’t hide his excitement said “I am very happy to have receive this chair. In fact, if I have to go to church, work or anywhere, I need this chair, so today I thank God that I have got a new chair”.

Solace Walker, a mother of one of the beneficiaries also said “I thank the Rotary club, they have reduced my suffering because before, I have to carry him at my back to wherever I go but with the help of this wheel chair, things will be a bit easier for me”.
