Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Thamas Partey, saying the midfielder could return to action in their premier league game on Saturday.
Due to a thigh injury, Partey was not present for his team prior to Arsenal’s encounter against Manchester City in the Premier League last week, and has since not return.
Meanwhile, Arteta is hopeful of a return of the 29-year old, and said in his press conference ahead of their game against Leicester City on Saturday that Thomas Partey could be available.
“The question mark on Thomas is that he hasn’t trained much but it looks like he could available. Let’s see how he trains today,” he said.
“He’s a really important player for us that we’ve missed the last few games. Hopefully he can be available,” he added.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder has scored 2 goals in 18 matches for Arsenal so far in the 2022/2023 season, and his return will be a major boost for the Gunners.
