Eyewitnesses reported that the victims, who were traveling in a Toyota Corolla, were returning from a birthday party in Nakpanduri when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road and collided with a parked tipper truck, instantly bursting into flames.

Unfortunately, none of the occupants survived, as they were trapped inside the burning vehicle.

The Ghana National Fire Service from Bunkprugu arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire, but by then, the victims had already been burnt beyond recognition.

Authorities have identified the deceased as two female Senior High School (SHS) students and a young man, all believed to be between the ages of 18 and 20. Samples of the remains have been taken to the Bunkprugu Government Hospital for further investigation.

The police have launched an inquiry into the accident to determine the exact cause of the crash.

Meanwhile, residents and road users have been urged to exercise caution while driving, especially on highways with stationary vehicles.
