A tragic road accident at Manso Watreso in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region has claimed three lives after a fiery collision between two motorbikes.
The incident, which occurred on Monday, involved a head-on crash between a motorbike carrying two passengers and another with a solo rider. The collision reportedly caused both bikes to erupt in flames.
Despite frantic efforts by locals to douse the blaze, the fire proved uncontrollable until fire service and police personnel arrived. One person died instantly, while the other two, rushed to the hospital with severe burns, later passed away.
Kofi Mensah, Assembly Member for the Manso Watreso Electoral Area, told Channel One News that preliminary investigations revealed one of the motorbikes was carrying fuel, which likely ignited on impact, sparking the deadly fire.
