Ghana Premier League club, Accra Hearts of Oak, has announced the appointment of two directors after dissolving their 11-member board on Tuesday, February 27.
The two newly appointed directors of the club are Togbui Afede XIV, who is the majority shareholder of the club, as well as Delali Anku-Adiamah, who also occupies the position as the Managing Director of Hearts.
In a statement, Hearts noted that the appointment is “in compliance with the requirements of Section 171 (1) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992), which mandates a company like Hearts of Oak to have at least two directors.”
Delali Anku holds a PhD in Computational Systems Biology from the University of Manchester, UK, and a BSc in Computer Science with Business Management from the University of Birmingham, UK, among other credentials.
He worked with Manchester United at their finance department, Accenture as the Technology Consultant Manager, and at Markit as VP.
Hearts will next month hold their Annual General Meeting, where they will be addressing all the matters.
