The Ministry of Trade and Industry, Moti - Ghana has inaugurated a Technical Working Committee on Industrial Parks (IP) and Special Economic Zones (SEZ)

The Ministry of Trade and Industry, Moti – Ghana has inaugurated a Technical Working Committee on Industrial Parks (IP) and Special Economic Zones (SEZ)

Inaugurating the Committee, a Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi (MP) charged the Committee to bring their technical expertise on board in drafting a policy on IPs and SEZ

The Terms of Reference of the Committee, according to the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr Patrick Nimo, is to, among others, work with the consultant to review the drafting of the policy.

The CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, Amb Mike Oquaye Jnr on his part, expressed his gratitude to MOTI for taking steps to formulate the Policy

The GFZA is represented on the committee by Mr Kwame Nsiah Asante, Director of Estates, Zones and Application processing.

The committee has representation from the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Lands Commission, West Park Enterprise Ltd, Appolonia Industrial Park, LMI Holdings, Ghana Institute of Surveyors and Ghana Institute of Engineers
