The Corperate Communications Manager of the Metro Mass Transit Limited, George Krobea Asante has revealed that Ministry of Transport and the Board of Metro Mass Transit have come to an agreement to procure 300 Intercity Coach buses for the country.
According to him, there is going to be a segmentation of the market, thus separation of the air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses to pave way for every customer, depending on your ability to pay, customers can afford.
“What we are doing is to segment the market, thus having the air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses in different operations so that every customer, depending on your ability to pay, you can afford” he added.
He said, with regards to safety, the Metro Mass Transit Limited will not compromise with the lives of its customers.
“Some buses have been earmarked for scraps. and most of the buses have been grounded and cannot commute passengers anymore.” He added
He also noted that, across the 16 regional branches of the transit, 235 buses have been earmarked for scraps.
