Not too long, social media became quite noisy when the news of visa-free policy for Ghanaians traveling to Dubai hit the internet.

This became a topical issue on several news platforms where many people debated on the authenticity of the story.

According to the Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Dubai, both parties have not yet agreed on doing away with the visa requirements for Ghanaian passport holders.

In a statement made by the Embassy, they clearly mentioned that the visa-free news is a hoax which broke out and was unfortunately taken up by many news platforms which made is somewhat difficult to be untrue.

However, the statement further explained that, even though the issue of visa-free has been communicated by both parties, there has not been a confirmed agreement yet.

Ghanaians are therefore advised to debunk the previous news and hope for a reasonable agreement as the issue is still in play.
