The incident is said to have stemmed from a previous misunderstanding between the deceased and one of the suspects, identified as 36-year-old Kwasi Opong.

Swift police action led to the arrest of Opong and his alleged accomplice, 23-year-old William Francis Osel. Both are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.

Another suspect is reported to be on the run, with efforts underway to apprehend him.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Asankrangwa Catholic Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

ASP Beatrice Turkson, in the statement, assured the public that all individuals involved in what she described as a “heinous crime” would be brought to justice.

She further urged residents with relevant information to contact the Asankrangwa Police to support the ongoing investigation.
