The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of two additional suspects in connection with the violent disturbances that erupted during a football match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC.
The arrested individuals, identified as Isaac Ofosu and Yeboah Augustine, are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations into the incident, which took place on February 2, 2025, in Nsoatre, Bono Region.
This latest development brings the total number of arrests to five, as authorities continue efforts to track down all those involved in the chaos. Law enforcement agencies have assured the public that an intelligence-led operation remains ongoing to apprehend the remaining perpetrators and ensure they face justice.
The violent altercation, which marred the football match, has drawn widespread condemnation, with calls for stricter measures to curb hooliganism in Ghanaian football.
