A lecturer of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Dr Ebo Amuah, has donated a 2.5 horsepower air-conditioner to the Paediatric Surgery Unit to replace a faulty one in their theatres.
He also brought in engineers to fix three dysfunctional ones.
Presenting the air-conditioner, Dr. Amuah said he saw the situation in the theatre when his daughter was undergoing surgery and noticed that the air-conditioners were not functioning and decided to help.
He said, “This is what I can also do to show appreciation to the department for my daughter’s successful surgery.”
Dr. Hope Glover-Addy, Head of the Paediatric Surgery Unit who was part of the team that performed the surgery, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the unit to Dr. Amuah for his timely benevolence.
