The University for Development Studies (UDS) has strongly refuted a viral TikTok video that falsely claims its students enter examination halls with pre-prepared answer sheets.
In an official statement, UDS condemned the video as “false and malicious,” asserting that the institution maintains the highest standards of academic integrity.
According to the statement signed by Abdul-Hayi Moomen, Director of Public Affairs, the university operates under strict examination policies designed to ensure fairness, credibility, and transparency.
UDS emphasized that its students undergo rigorous academic training, and its examination processes are closely monitored to uphold the institution’s hard-earned reputation.
“This false allegation is not only an attack on our integrity but also an attempt to tarnish the reputation of our students, faculty, and the university as a whole,” the statement read.
UDS has demanded an immediate retraction of the defamatory video along with an unqualified public apology from its creators. The university warned that failure to comply would result in legal action to protect its image and credibility.
While acknowledging the role of digital media in modern communication, UDS called on content creators to exercise ethical responsibility.
The institution stressed that while freedom of expression is important, it must be accompanied by accuracy, fairness, and respect for reputations.
“Misinformation and sensationalism can have serious consequences, especially for institutions like UDS, which thrive on their credibility. We urge creators to verify their claims before publication and avoid spreading falsehoods,” the statement added.
