While on her way to Wulugu to spend the night with a relative, the police officer, identified as Baako, met her on the Walewale-Bolgatanga highway and gave her a lift on a motorbike.

The officer who was in uniform is said to have taken the victim to his house after convincing her that he would have to change the uniform.

In his room, officer Baako started to undress, which made the young girl question why he was undressing.

It is alleged that the officer struggled with the girl and later overpowered her after handcuffing her and subsequently had sex with her.

The case was reported to the West Mamprusi Municipal police command by the young girl’s sister, and the officer was arrested. He has since been granted bail.
