Two male students of the Fumbisi Senior High School in the Builsa South District of the Upper East Region, have suffered broken legs in a tribal clash that broke out in the school.
Scores of other male students have also been left with minor injuries in the skirmishes.
According to reports, violent attacks erupted Wednesday March 15, 2023 between students of the school from Bawku and the Union of Builsa Students of the school, following an earlier attack on Tuesday March 14 on a Builsa student.
Reports said three students of the school from Bawku allegedly beat up a house prefect, for standing against their maltreatment of a junior student.
The reports said the three senior male students got angered by the action of the house prefect and so launched an attack and beat him up mercilessly.
The attack on the house prefect who is a Builsa student triggered anger among the community of Builsa students in the school, who went out attacking students of Bawku extraction.
The two students have however been sent to a private bone specialist facility in Zuarungu for medical attention.
Following the disturbances, final-year male students of the school have been asked to vacate the school premises as investigations begin.
