University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the Senior Staff Association – Universities of Ghana says they are not pleased with how their National Executives suspended their strike.
UEW Chapter Chairman, Isaac Donkor explained that the National Executive Council should have conducted an emergency meeting to allow all local executives decide.
However, few National Executives unanimously directed them to suspend the strike without going through the protocols.
Though the will not defy the directive to suspend the strike, they are unhappy as their members have severe doubts about their sudden u-turn.
They are therefore demanding explanation from their National Executives on the basics why they suspended the strike.
