Two Ugandan men have resorted to swapping their wives to peacefully end a cheating scandal that had rocked their unions. The Ugandan men swapped wives to resolve a cheating scandal.
This was after one of the men identified as Ali Mudde, a resident of Musoma Village in Jagozi Island Sub-county, was informed that Bryan Masaba was having intimate relations with his wife in a nearby bush.
According to a report by Daily Monitor, an infuriated Mudde reported the matter to the village chairman Peter Balikowa who then convened a village court to solve the row. It is during the proceedings at the village court that Balikowa asked the two men to exchange wives if they were comfortable with that and to the surprise of their village men and women, the two men warmly welcomed the idea.
“I do not have any objection to the resolution passed by this honourable court and I am more than ready to hand over my wife to him (Masaba),” Mudde said. After Mudde’s acceptance, the chairman asked Masaba’s wife if she was ready to have a co-wife in her marriage but she vehemently refused and instead suggested that she becomes Mudde’s wife.
Balikowa gave his nod to the proposition and the two men switched their wives as all parties were comfortable. Neither of the couples had children.
