The Member of Parliament for Bosome-Freho Constituency, Hon. Nana Kwame Asafo-Agyei Ayeh, has expressed deep concerns over persistent and unannounced power outages in the district, warning that the situation is crippling local businesses.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament, Hon. Asafo-Agyei Ayeh lamented the devastating impact of the erratic power supply, commonly referred to as “Dumsor,” on businesses and livelihoods in the Bosome-Freho District of the Ashanti Region.
“All I am asking the government is to give us power, that’s all. Government should give us power so we can go back to our businesses. Businesses are collapsing. We need power,” he stated passionately.
He further called on the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to take urgent steps to resolve the power crisis, emphasizing that the economic survival of many residents depends on a stable electricity supply.
The MP’s concerns echo widespread frustrations across the country, with many business owners struggling to keep operations running amid unreliable power supply.
