The 13 contestants represent various towns in Kwahu including Mpraeso, Abetifi, Obo, Aduamoah, Bepong, Obomeng, Twenedruase. This event is set to project all tourist sights in Kwahu  during this year Easter festivity.

Addressing the 13 contestants of Miss Kwahu Tourism and the organizers of the event, Nana Simpe Oweredu III, commended the organizers for organizing such event during this year Easter festivity and not just looking at the Merry making aspect of it. He also encouraged all the contestants to put in all their maximum efforts to make it to the top but however, reminded them that at the end, only one person will be crowned as Miss Kwahu Tourism 2026.

He said this pageant will provide more opportunities and exposure to the contestants therefore they should learn and follow all instructions by their instructors.

Nana Simpe Oweredu III, used the opportunity to announced to all Ghanaians that Kwahu is at peace therefore Ghanaians should debunk all false reportages circulating on social media alleging and creating the impressions that Kwahu is insecure.

According to him, even at Abene where the paramount seat is situated remains calm. He described the social media false reportages as deliberate attempt by some people to bring the most national and international accepted place of celebrating Easter a bad name just for their interest.

He added that this agenda of Kwahu insecurity started last two years. According to him, it descended to last year when a television morning show host joined the train of misinforming the general public about Kwahu Easter.

Nana Simpe Oweredu III, in his submission invited all Ghanaians and corporate entities who want to come to Kwahu this year Easter to attend with clean and secure mindset and experience the good things Kwahu has without fear.

Apostle Steve Awuah, who is a member of the organizers of Miss Kwahu Tourism expressed his gratitude to Kwahuhene Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III and Nana Adwoa Gyamfuah III, Kwahuhemaa for their blessings and encouragement.

He also added that all well meaning Ghanaians should not give attention to fake news on social media which is creating some impressions of insecurity in Kwahu. The Apostle added that Kwahu is at peace and his organization has joined hands with Ghana Tourism Authority to make this year Easter a memorable season.
