The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in the Volta Region is set to bring joy to young patients as part of the National Chocolate Day celebrations.
In collaboration with key tourism and hospitality stakeholders, GTA will distribute locally produced Ghanaian chocolate to children at the Ho Teaching Hospital and the Ho Regional Hospital on February 14, 2025.
The initiative, themed “Eat Chocolate, Stay Healthy, Grow Ghana,” is being organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Ghana Cocoa Board, Frandocfill Car Hiring Service, Sky Plus Hotel, Chances Hotel, and Jolinaiko Ecotours. Together, these organizations aim to spread love and warmth while promoting Ghana’s cocoa industry and its health benefits.
National Chocolate Day is not just about enjoying Ghana’s world-renowned cocoa products—it is also a celebration of love, kindness, and national pride.
This year’s outreach program seeks to bring comfort and happiness to pediatric patients while engaging the public at the Ho main lorry station to raise awareness about Ghana’s cocoa heritage.
“Our goal is to highlight the health benefits of cocoa and encourage the consumption of locally made Ghanaian chocolate,” said Johnny Arthur-Quarm, Volta Regional Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
“By sharing chocolate with these children, we hope to make Valentine’s Day extra special for them and reinforce the role of our cocoa industry in economic growth.”
The GTA has invited media partners to cover the event and help spread the message of love and generosity.
