The Ketu South Police Command has launched an investigation into an unusual complaint by a 23-year-old man who claims his genitals shrank mysteriously after an encounter with an elderly man.
The complainant, identified as Atsu Seshie, alleged that the incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, at Atisukope, near the Ocean Hotel, not far from the Aflao-Lomé border.
According to Mr. Seshie, he was approached by an elderly man, later identified as 81-year-old Francis Quaye, who asked him for money. When he declined the request, the elderly man allegedly placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Immediately after he touched me, I felt a strange sensation, and suddenly, my manhood started shrinking,” Seshie told local reporters after lodging a formal complaint at the Aflao Police Station.
The bizarre nature of the incident has sparked concern and anxiety among residents of the area.
“We’re now living in fear. This is not something we’ve seen before, and we don’t know who could be next,” a fruit vendor told reporters, visibly shaken by the development.
The report drew a large crowd to the police station, with community members demanding answers and urging authorities to take swift action to investigate and address the situation.
The complainant’s mother, popularly known in the area as Vena, backed her son’s claim.
“There’s definitely a difference. His manhood looks smaller than it used to,” she stated.
The police have issued a medical form to the complainant to undergo a full examination to help determine whether any physical changes have occurred and whether foul play is involved.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities seek to establish the facts behind the strange encounter.
