A mock Parliamentary sitting was held at the Ho Nurses Training College to commemorate the celebration of 30 years of uninterrupted parliamentary democracy.
The Ho Technical University, the University of Health and Allied Sciences, the Evangelical Presbyterian University College and the Youth Impact Parliament participated in a debate on the topic, “Achieving 40% women representation in Parliament, in line with the Inter-Parliamentary Union goals; is Ghana ready.”
The Youth Impact Parliament won the debate, followed by the University of Health and Allied Sciences in second position and Ho Technical University in third position.
Participants received trophies, medals and cash prizes.
