A yet-to-be-identified woman lost her life on Monday evening after a tragic accident involving a ‘Mahama-Can-Do’ pragia and an L200 Mitsubishi pickup truck with registration number GJ 3226-21.

The fatal collision occurred along the stadium-to-Kabore Junction road in Ho.

The impact of the crash left six other passengers, including school children who were returning home from school, with severe injuries.

They were quickly rushed to the Ho Teaching Hospital and the Ho Municipal Hospital, where they were receiving medical attention.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the accident caused significant damage to both vehicles, with the pragia taking the most impact.

Emergency services responded promptly, but the woman, who was a passenger in the pragia, succumbed to her injuries before she could receive medical help.

Authorities have yet to release official details on the cause of the accident. However, police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.

Residents and commuters have since expressed concerns over road safety in the area, urging authorities to implement stricter traffic regulations to prevent similar tragedies.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue, pending identification and further investigations.
