Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is set to seek further medical treatment abroad following a brief hospitalization at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), the Presidency has announced.

The Vice President was admitted on Saturday, March 29, 2025, after experiencing a sudden illness the previous day. While details of her condition remain private, medical experts have advised that she continue her treatment outside the country.

A statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, confirmed her hospitalization and extended well wishes for her recovery.

“As a nation, we rally behind Vice President Opoku-Agyemang and wish her strength and a speedy recovery,” the statement read.
