Veteran Akan News Anchor Sekyere Poporo Boateng is reported dead.

The cause of his death is not yet known but sources say the long-serving broadcaster died after a short illness.

Before his demise, Wofa Sekyere Poporo Boateng was the former General Manager of Happy FM.

He also worked with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC1), Garden City Radio in Kumasi, Peace FM, Adom FM and Hot FM before retiring from the media industry few years ago.

His passing has hit many in the media fraternity as some media personalities took turns to expressed their deepest condolences to the family of the veteran news anchor.

Peace Fm’s Nana Yaa Konadu confirmed the sad demise of her former colleague on her Facebook wall.
