Ace broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, popularly known by his initials KKD, has said it is needless to have the Office of the Vice President.
His comment comes after the Akufo-Addo-led Government has been berated by a section of the Ghanaian people including the opposition National Democratic Congress on why the Economic Management Team led by the Vice President, Dr Bawumia has woefully failed the country.
According to KKD, the Office of the Vice President is non-functional and does not make any extraordinary inputs concerning governance.
“The Vice President’s office is redundant. What does the USA Vice President do? Does UK have a Prime Minister? It’s obvious they have no work to do.” He said on Joy News
The Master of Ceremonies who began his recent spree of backlash against the current administration said he is deeply concerned about the current state of affairs in the country so he is not perturbed about the criticisms.
Mr Peter Kwame Kuutol, a former Chartered Financial Lecturer at the Presbyterian University College in Abetifi in the Eastern Region, in an interview with Republic FM, said, the Vice President, Dr Bawumia who is supposed to be in charge of the Economic Management Team (EMT) has been sidelined and now a poster boy.
According to him, Dr Bawumia has now been reduced to a digitization man.
“I can tell you on authority that the Vice President, Dr Bawumia is not in control. He remains the poster boy, he is now a digitization man. He has been reduced from the Economic Management Team leader to Digitization Man and this is because he is not being allowed to work, let’s us be frantic”. Mr Peter Kwame Kuutol noted
