A mother of a BECE graduate awaiting placement for her daughter has been left frustrated after her daughter was not placed automatically by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
According to the woman, her daughter, who had an aggregate of 35, was not placed in any of her selected schools, while her friend, who had an aggregate of 39, was placed automatically.
In a video sighted on UTV’s Facebook page, the mother said her daughter chose Aburi Girls, Mfantsiman, and Aggrey Memorial schools.
Meanwhile, hundreds of parents of students who sat for the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) on Thursday thronged the GNAT Hall in Accra for placement.
A total of 165,601 candidates will have to do self-placement because they could not be matched to their school of choice, according to the Ghana Education Service.
The Deputy Coordinator of the Free SHS Secretariat, Nana Afrah Sika Mensah, has assured that all challenges associated with the Computerised School Selection Placement System (CSSPS) will be resolved.
