Kennedy Agyapong, a presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused the party and the present administration of looting Ghanaians by taking money from the national coffers.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the Assin Central Member of Parliament made a serious accusation against the administration.
He was reportedly speaking to a group of people ahead of the NPP primaries on November 4.
According to Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, the rate at which the government is allegedly stealing the country’s resources and squandering them abroad is of concern.
“The NPP is looting this country like there is no tomorrow. You steal the money and go spend it abroad. Why do you mean?” he quizzed angrily.
He stated that such acts have benefited the perpetrators while leaving Ghanaian young unemployed and without a means of earning a life.
“The youth of this country are not working. And now you are intimidating people,” he said, adding that “I’ll put my life on the line (and be president).”
