Independent candidate and founder of Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has charged Ghanaians to vote for a non-partisan leader.

According to him, for Ghana to move forward, citizens need to vote for an individual who will not put party affiliation first.

“The NDC and NPP have nothing new to offer”, Mr. Kyeremanten made this call when he met volunteers and the mobilization and orientation of volunteers in Accra.

The event which sought to spread the Movement for Change agenda saw hundreds of volunteers gather at the GNAT Hall in Accra to be part of the new movement.

Addressing the gathering, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen said there is a need for Ghana to move from the NPP and NDC syndrome and embrace change for a better Ghana.

He noted that Ghana needs a non-partisan leader who has the country at heart, a leader who is ready to work with other individuals irrespective of their party affiliation.

He mentioned, “If you are complaining about the economic crisis and unemployment, you don’t need the NDC or the NPP, you need a new leader”.

Mr. Kyerematen stressed that, as announced some weeks ago Ghana needs to be united and not divided.

“Let us fight for the survival of the country and not the survival of a party”, he added.

Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen also urged Ghanaians to have a positive attitude towards national development.

“The lack of discipline is a major problem hindering our progress. There is no respect for the rule of law and for every country to move forward, the rule of law must be enforced”.
