Special voting is currently underway at the Bawku Police Station in the Bawku Central Constituency after a delayed start caused by sporadic gunfire.

The voting process, which began at 8:00 a.m., was temporarily halted when gunfire erupted, sparking fear among voters. Security forces swiftly intervened, restoring order and enabling the process to continue.

As of now, 298 out of 526 registered special voters have cast their ballots.

Two individuals sustained injuries during the incident and have been taken to the Presbyterian Hospital for medical attention.
