A horrifying incident has unfolded at Agya Aryeekrom, a village near Daboase in the Wassa East District of the Western Region where a 35 year old palm wine tapper allegedly beheaded his employer following a dispute over a missing tapping pipeline.
The deceased, Samuel Kwofie popularly known as Kofi Ghana, was a farmer and palm wine tapper who lived with his two brothers one blind and the other deaf and mute.
According to reports, Kwofie had employed the suspect, identified as Akuffo Addo to assist him in his palm wine distillery business. The two had worked together for many years without reported conflict.
Trouble began when one of the tapping pipelines essential for their work went missing. Kwofie suspected Akuffo Addo of being responsible and threatened to report him to the police, leading to a heated argument between the two which escalated into violence. The altercation allegedly ended with Akuffo Addo slashing off Kwofie’s head.
